Sport bikes are really for racing and if your friend isnt going to be racing, he should probably stay away from them at that weight. On a sport bike, you lean forward. he is gonna have the tank jammed in his gut, and he will be holding up alot of his weight with his arms. will probably be uncomfortable after short distances. Its not that it cant be done, i just advise against it. I took a spin on a friends ninja once and hated how it felt, and i only weigh about 190. he only rides it around town on occasion though, i spend hours on my bike on roadtrips and daily commuting so alot depends on how often and far your friend will be riding it. Every different bike has a different weight rating, so you have to look at each bike individually. I would reccomend a metric cruiser. I have a bobbed 82 yamaha xv750 and i love it. Way more comfortable and the lower the seat, the better off he is gonna be when he corners. Many of the newer metric bikes have a very race inspired style even in the cruisers. Not my taste, but your friend may like them. If he is committed to only riding a sport bike because its a fashion statement, then he shouldent be on the road at all. Noone should ride a bike that isnt suited to them. tell him to sit on a bunch at the dealership, and sit in the riding position for a while to see how it feels. If he can he should test ride a few different types of bikes until he knows whats right for him.

If he weighs 300 pounds, I don't beleive he needs to be on a sport bike. Your first question on the 1000 pounds, I don't believe there is any bike that will hold that much weight. The most maybe around 300 pounds, and that is usually 2 riders and gear.

I count on you are speakme approximately road driving. Before you run out and purchase one, take the MFS path. They furnish the motorcycles and train you learn how to experience. I did this whilst I began driving and it certain opened my eyes. You can pass judgement on for your self how secure you're at the dimension motorcycles they use. If they look too colossal, begin browsing for whatever smaller. If they look proper or in the event you believe you'll be able to manage a little bit extra, appear for a SLIGHTLY bigger motorbike. You'll most likely discover that whatever across the 500cc dimension works good. If you get whatever too small you'll be able to simply desire to alternate it and transfer up. If you purchase too colossal you'll be able to most likely have situation and can broaden a terrible angle approximately driving. Take the MFS path and store accurately.

I think that 300 lbs is more than feasible on a bike, but I doubt a 300 lbs man is going to be comfortable on a crotch rocket.
