For years now cars and other vehicles have been fitted with a device which 'dips' the headlights, which aims the headlights to one side, thus preventing on coming traffic being dazzled by them. Could some one not find a way to fit such a device to motor cycle headlights? I don't think I have ever seen a motorcycle coming towards me use dipped headlights, so I assume they aren't fitted. Mind you, even if some one did fit them, not many riders would use them, they're too busy feeling the wind in their face and being at one with nature etc.

Is there any difference between the frames for an ironhead motor as opposed to an Evo motor?
Specifically the mounts?

I want to weld in a hardtail section on my E84 ironhead sporty. But what I am coming up with is a hardtail section for an Evo sporty.

By looking at the section for the Evo, I see no difference. Can anyone verify this at all?

THANK YOU!!

When me and my riding buddies go on those super long 100 mile rides, we generally have a Volvo station wagon as the support vehicle bringing up the rear and holding all the extra gear for us. We usually pack several quarts of motor oil, a full tool kit, and an ice chest filled to the brim with wine coolers. A couple of the guys even like to bring several different Harley jackets so they can do an outfit change mid-ride - pretty cool. Anyway, what kind of support vehicle do you have and what do you bring along?

Right, imagine you are on a motorbike, going straight forwards, 100mph. Now imagine the steering is WELDED forwards. You can not turn the front wheel at all, in any way.

If you leaned to the left or right, would it be possible to slowely turn the motorbike as it sped along? Or would the fact the wheel is welded forwards means the bike would simply either stay going forwards, or if you leaned enough, you'd topple over?
