Only if you really plan on using it. It also depends on what altitude you live at and the motorcycle laws in your state. Most states do not differentiate between scooters and motorcycles and you need an endorsement to ride either that is above 100CCs.

If you don't have riding experience, you may need to take a class which can get pricey and then get a new driver's license.

If you live at a high altitude, you really wouldn't want anything lower than 70ccs because they lose power with altitude.

On the plus side, you will probably get around 70-80 miles per gallon, won't get stuck in traffic, and will have a lot of fun riding it.

Hello Jenna, If a scooter is appealling to you, then I say yes. They are excellent on gas.Insurance is cheap...and most of all fun to ride. Get one that is comfortable for you . I'm 58 yrs old...been riding motorcycles for 45yrs and have owned 34 diff bikes. I have seen and rode with Men and Ladies who own scooters and we all have fun. One last thing....Ride Safe.
