i for one am totally against this. i mean, why should kids get special treatment? i have seen a few kids in my time behaving unruly, rowdy, swearing on the bus, mucking around and i've seen a couple pressing the emergency button whilst the bus was moving and the idiots jumped out of the bus while it was moving! unbelievable eh? although not all of them are like this of course. some are behaving impeccably and set a exemplary example to others. but why shouldn't they pay, as well? we have responsibilites as adults, and the same applies to children. or has the likes of ken livingstone forgot about that?

For a long time I have heard environmentalists complain about all of the pollution caused by cars and how people should carpool or ride the bus. But I have yet to hear anyone complain about the big trucks constantly sending VISABLE pollution into the air. I have to take my car in for emissions inspection every year but nobody requires the trucks to do anything.

A few weeks ago BP had to close it's huge Alaska Pipelines; they said gas prices may shoot up over $4 a gallon. But as we approach an election where the Republicans are very worried about losing seats, the prices are steadily going down really fast. Gas prices were to be a major issue in this election. You don't think that the oilmen we have in office really do have control over this situation, do you? Is that why there is a big drop now? Note: 6 years ago today a barrell of oil was $30.00, today it is $72.45 which is only down $5 a barrell from one month ago, during the Isreal/Lebanon war. In fact, the previous time we paid over $3.00 a gallon, oil was going for $67 a barrell. We are paying a lot less for gas today at $72.45 than at $67. Are we playing politics at the pump? Will prices shoot back up after the election? I'm curious to see how you will blame this on Clinton and not the Oil tycoons in office...

I REALLY hate people who sit in the passing lane at EXACTLY (or less than) the speed limit while the mean speed of traffic all around them is much higher. Don't they get it? We are not talking about folks who are there about to make lefts, but folks on 70mph limited access interstates who will STILL drive 55mph even when the dang signs say 70!

My personal favorite solution would be a grille mounted plasma cannon, but in the real world why can we not just issue citation to these idiots like crazy? Just about every state has a law on the books making it illegal and I KNOW you get a ticket for failure to yield to fast traffic in Europe, I have seen people get them....

I am moving to Oak Park and have about a 3/4 mile walk to the train station everyday. Do they have bike racks at the train station where you could lock up your bike until you return?

I had a cop tell me "let's call it 98 mph". Luckily I got slowed down a little before he clocked me. Cost me over $500.00 though and yes....yes, I deserved to pay every penny.

I've heard that if you move the gear shifter into neutral increases gas mileage if done as apposed to breaking while in drive.
