Nobody asked for responses from people who didn't actually get a ticket and nobody cares what kind of car you have and how long you had it. Sorry I had to vent I think that is the failure of this site they need a sister site to this one called www.stupidcomment.com
I once got a speeding ticket for 145 in 35 I know it is hard to believe but on a rural road the speed limit is 35 in Mississippi and there is a road we all race on that has a two mile stretch of straight away. I was arrested for careless driving and got 135hrs community service pressure washing the skid marks of previous races on that same stretch of road

This time last year, I was driving a BMW between 110-120 MPH with a motorcyclist. The police got the motorcyclist first and then pulled me over a few miles down the road. The officer wrote 100+ in a 65 and arrested me at gunpoint on a unrelated bench warrant. The BMW never started again until I could take it to the shop and replaced the engine.
I did get 5 pts and a $300 fine for the ticket, on 9/4/2005. I also had to pay $412 for the towing fee and nearly $1,000 for rental cars while the BMW was being repaired. My license was also suspended for 3 days following an administrative hearing in May.
My first speeding ticket was going 98 in a 55 on US 301 on MD's Eastern Shore back in 2003.

The fastest speeding ticket I ever got... I wasn't driving the car.
My mechanic had my car without my knowledge while it was in the shop being repaired and he took it out for a joy ride, ran a red light while doing about 85 in a 30 zone and I got the ticket because of the damn camera on the light. Snapped my plate and I had to pay!
I never speed!

The fastest I've been written for is 10 over (50 in a 40). I somehow got lucky a couple weeks ago and received a ticket for "Basic Violation of Speed Law" - 2 points and $100 fine. I thought it was a nice break considering I was street racing and doing 90 in a 50.

Clocked at 127 in a 55 mph zone, driving a 1986 Toyota Supra (stock). He says "you do realize you have lost your ability to drive in this state, don't you?" I said "who cares, I don't live here anyway".
I paid the copper cash right then and there for the ticket and flipped him the bird thru the sunroof as I sped off. Over the limit.
Ended up blowing the engine a few months later, but hey, it's a great memory.

I've gotten two speeding tickets in my life, and they both were for going something like 35 in a 25 mph residential zone. Lame-o!

Although I got stopped for 92 in a 60, and he let me off. God knows how that happened, but I wasn't staying to aks why.

I was going 105 (in a 55) when I saw the cop. Fortunately, I was able to slow down to 89 before he clocked me. He was REALLY mad.
Good thing he didn't catch me a few days before when I was going 178 on that same road.

I've owned Porsches since 1988 and have never gotten a speeding ticket. I've gotten a couple other tickets but not speeding.
