and underneath it the monetary fine. Does anyone think that sign will stop someone from using their horn? and/or who would possibly believe they'd actually get a ticket for it.

Just curious. I've done it and I know it's like a $371 fine here in Los Angeles if you get caught but my time is more important to me than $371 lousy dollars.

I'm not sorry that I don't feel sorry for someone who gets hurt or killed while crossing accross 8 lanes of traffic on an interstate. In an unrealted case, I also don't feel sorry for this guy who fell down while trying to run accross a busy 4 lane road while it was raining. He slipped and fell in one of the lanes and people got out to help him. I thought the guy was an idiot and I don't help ioidts. To me, he should have waited for his turn to cross when the light changed.

Am I wrong in feeling this way? Surely there are others who feel like I do.

I am starting a new job and am interested/ looking for a carpool in the area (Georgetown tx) I have tried several different carpool websites and have yet to find anything. Anyone interested? Or know of a local carpool service and/ or public transportation? I frequently see CARTS busses going to the grocery stores, shopping centers and library.... but cannot seem to find any info on them. Any info would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks.

The carpool situation will only be temporary.

about other drivers when you're late for work???

I hate when people don't signal before they turn.

They will have to make work hours shorter...say instead of 9-5 they would be to make it 9:30 - 4:30 cutting off an hour off every shift because people are spending too much time in traffic?

Or what do you think is going to happen eventually??? They are building things right off the road so they cant widen all the roads.

are there airlines which work with commuters from europe to london(monthly travel card or shuttle like they have in san francisco)? want to leave london but have a job in london and am going to transition overseas slowly. I need to commute daily as i have pets. Eurostar/eurotunnel/and all the airlines need advance bookings and charge you an arm and a leg if you just show up...not really practical. ferry was really slow and disorganized. I work as a contractor in IT and would like to get a comfort level before the move is permanent and I get a job in Italy. I'm thinking 'no' and i just need to get a contract there but I figured I would try you all for ideas.

I hit the MUTE button every time the 3-minute commercial slot begins. Am I a non-capitalist? Should I feel guilty? If everyone did what I do, would the monthly rates go way up? Can a person go crazy by repeatedly hearing what is already memorized?

Just wondering about the possibility of commuting from Bedford to London St Pancras with Midland Mainline. How much would it be a month/a year for a season ticket?

Many of us know, the kind of problems due to traffic congestion and pollution due to automobiles. But still we don't adapt to walking smaller distances or use bi-cycle. We will find many excuses. Even the cycle industry is not putting any effort to popularise cycle transport through advertisements or improvising the existing technology to suit the needs of the people. Of course, automobile industry or any ancilliary will not be intrested in this. Only people and government can do something in this matter. What do you people think?

How does it work? Does it matter what "octaigne"? Is gas and diesel the same thing? When others say "petrol" does that mean they use a differen't formulation of fuel?

Several governments came and gone but none is able make the Hyderabadis to follow traffic rules. For Hyderabadis traffic lights are just decoration symbles nothing more than that. If you stop at the traffic light when it is RED that means either you're a stupid or new to the city. Every day hundreds of traffic accidents and deaths still Hyderabadis have not learnt any lesson. RTC bus drivers are the worst lot. By the way I am also an Hyderabadi!
