How does it work? Does it matter what "octaigne"? Is gas and diesel the same thing? When others say "petrol" does that mean they use a differen't formulation of fuel?

No gas and diesel are not the same thing, you should put gas in a car of a octane rating of 91% or less. Petrol is another name for gasoline. Hope it helps?

follow the instructions on the pump. Octane is a measuer of how the gas burns and yes it does matter. Most cars take regular, but if you have something fancy put premium. Gas and diesel are totally different. One ignites from compresssion one from a spark. Petrol is a british term for gasoline.

You're not supposed to put gas in a car. They last a lifetime unless its an American car.

in your car either on the gas lid or gages it should tell you what kind of gas to put in. but you should use unleaded and the lowest number you see. good luckps im sorry about you getting raped.
