i just got my permit the other day and i was told by two people that i can drive alone in a car since i am over the age of 18 is this true?

NO, a permit means someone over 21 with a full license have to ride with you no matter of your age.

if you have your provisionals, thats different. thats when you can drive by yourself.

They spoke with out knowledge (lied). The law in every state I've been in, that's all 50, requires you to have a 'licensed' adult in the car when you drive with a permit. Your age has nothing to do with it. If you think I'm wrong I strongly urge you to check with your state police before you take a chance and drive by yourself on a permit.

does not matter your age-16 to 100- if you have a driver's permit you are required to have a licensed driver with you.

yes, you are grown that is only for minors and they have a curfew. But, if they are a minor with a child they don't have a curfew. even if you were 17 and driving alone it would be okay.

yes u can because you are older than 18.if you are younger than18.than u cant drive alone.so yaa they are right dont worry.you can.

nop. Somebody with a driver's licence has to go with you. that's for sure.
