Just curious. I've done it and I know it's like a $371 fine here in Los Angeles if you get caught but my time is more important to me than $371 lousy dollars.

Everyone has been tempted to do it because it is the dumbest invention on earth. Take a lane away from everyone else and then let two Toyota Prius'es occupy it. I have done it for short stretches, and would vote tomorrow to get rid of them.

I never drive on the carpool lane by myself. it will cost you money to paid the ticket and traffic school

Sorry, never done it. I try to avoid choices involving committing a crime. What makes your time so valuable anyway? Just curious.
