Coleman make good stoves and this looks reasonable for the price - good sized burner, stable base and able to take a wide variety of fuel canisters so worth looking at buying. Only problem with this is it's height and it could be unstable (hence it's base), which is fine until you boil a litre of water and it becomes top heavy. The other problem with these stoves can be the pan sliding off the top if it is not level - but you can sort that with stones to make a level base, or tent pegs round it to hold the pan steady. Anyway, without writing an essay, for the money it looks worth it for the money.

I make a mental note of the prices in my local area and tend to go to the cheapest.... if you spend time hunting around, and driving out of your way to get a 'cheap' place, it is more cost/trouble than it is worth, and just becomes a fools errand

Nah, just get stuck in traffic. I'm using the two that give me points on my card. The idea is that i get enough airmiles together for a retirement trip to the foothills of the Himalayas :-)

In the US there is gasbuddy.com.
Usually the cheapest gas near me is already in my town (I don't know why).
