1999 CLK320 3.2L(18V)
2002 E320 3.2L(18V)
1997 E420 4.2L(32V)
1999 S320 3.2L(24V)

Hi I'm thinking of buying a MB one of this models is a possibility all range between 60-80,000 miles.
What are the major differences as far as handling, performance, maintenance cost and reliability.

All comments will be greatly appreciated.Thanx.Eli

It is 10 years old- tried changing batteries ( on 4th one now)- Have changed Glow plugs- changed seals as it was sucking air.

The one good thing is that once it starts in the morning it does not give any trouble during the day.

I recently bought a 1980 240d. I had a 1981 turbo 300sd, which was in my opinion great as far as power was concerned. This 240d is going to take some getting used to. It is just for in city use and short trips. Great condition just slow.

My dad believes that the BMW 7 Series handles better than the 3 series and the 5 Series, and the Mercedes-Benz S-class handles better than the C-class and the E-class. What do you think. Also, which one do you think handles better, a Lexus is300 or a Mercedes-Benz C240? We've driven a C240, and at high speed, it feels alittle unstable. But thats sportyness. what do you think compared to the S-class?

I have a 1973 Mercedes 450 SL and I believe the "brain" is messed up. What I'm wondering is if the "brain" out of a 1974 SLC
will work in the 73 by just installing it. I'm a relatively poor guy who owns a Benz (how smart is that?) and trying to get by as cheaply as possible. Thanks

i'm trying to reset the odometer... not the one where it's shows the life of your car and the trip mileage... the screen shows how you many miles you've gone since you last filled your tank and shows the digital speedometer. i don't know where the handbook is. my husband usually does this.. it says hold the reset button for 3 seconds but i'm not sure if that will erase the trip mileage too.. i also don't know where the reset button is.

hello i have 1989 300e merc that i have lost the keys for ,i have a new ignition barrel and key ,but i am trouble getting the old barrel out. as i am 1600km from a merc dealer it is a case of having to do it myself , can you tell me how to get the old barrel out?
