I will be getting my license in about 6 months and I really would like a classic car. Mainly the '68 Mustang. I'm a girl and I know nothing about cars, but I would love to learn. My dad doesn't want me to get it because he says it will always be breaking down if I use it for everyday use. Is that true??? What are you opinions???

Was running down the road , climbing up on a gear running about 4500 rpm and all of a sudden i lost power , i have fine compression , no smoke , this is a new engine.. it seems to be running on 3 cylinders so something in the spark is not working right.. ive checked my plugs , wires and ignition and they all seem to be working.

I have a 2004 Ford Taurus Wagon and it has a CD Player. I put 1 CD in the player and it works fine but it has a toggle knob that states 1-6 cd's I looked all over the car and did not find a CD Changer. Any ideas how to find out if this a single disc CD player or a 6 disc CD player? Thanks

Yesterday my wife and I had parked our Ford Mondeo car at a car park, everything was alright with the car, but when we got back to the car, and and turned the key, all the dashboard lights came on and on turning the key to start the engine the lights normally go off, but an orange light stayed on. On checking with our handbook, it said that there was an engine malfunction, can anyone tell me what this could be, we are worried that it could be something serious and expensive.

The RAC said to only do local journeys and they could not doing anything to help us.

Any help and advice you give me will be very much appreciated as we are very concerned.

I've been rebuilding a 68 hard top mustang and when I put in the new gages the fuel gauge started operating backwards reads a half a tank when empty. Also my temperature gauge stops at half way even though I am pretty sure that the engine has gotten hotter than that. Any help will be much appreciated.

It's a '69 Ford F-100 with a 390 and auto tranny. I had to take the headers loose, remove both motor mounts and jack up the motor as high as it would go. If you'v ever delt the the FE you know it has three bolt, and the third one is between the starter and block, not the easiest to get to. After all that I had to fight it out. Now I really don't want to put a new one back.

its a 4 speed manual trans. there are 2 possible places it seems like, but both covers are so worn that i can not read them. the steering wheel whines when i turn the steering when first starting out and when i go to park. pease help!

Any tips on how to improve my speed, with out doing any major body work on my car? We are planning to get a new car/SUV soon and we want a fuel efficient one because my sister just got her licens and is now going to drive my moms car. I was thinking about an Escape Hybrid, and my dad has the ok on it because he likes the style and the mpg (31-36 mph), but my mom hates any American made car. I have told her that Ford has now beat Nissan and is equal to Toyota in quality and that they have earned the most awards than any car manufacturer in the world. She still hates Fords and will only choose something Japanese or European. I was also thinking about a Lincoln MKX, which my dad has the ok with that too, but my mom wants the bland looking Lexus RX350. How will I convince her to at least look at a Ford?
