Just wondering if I can recharge it myself with the refridgerant they sell at the auto supply stores. Thank you.

It uses r134a. You can find refill kits at auto parts stores. The hose will have a fitting that will only fit on the right hose connection. That will be the low pressure side of the AC. This will also be the bigger hose of the two.

Most of the newer cars take 134a
Been out since at least the late 90's

Yes you can do it your self it takes R134, And its so easy , Put it in next to the fire wall the big line , Should need only one can hope this helps

check your owners mannual for sure, or call any auto parts store, they can look it up, but i bet my money on r-34 and they sell a kit at auto stores, comes with hose, some come with a hose and guage..
