I was a original owner of a new 65 6cyl, it came with optional 14in rims made with 4 lug centers, a lot of them had the 13's, all V8's came with 14's except the Shelbys, they had 15's

14- or 15 ins. was what you could get it depends on the eng. pac. that was in the car
If you want to know the size you car came with take the vin. #
to a FORD dealer thay can tell you OR GO TO FORDus or CAN .com and you can fined out just about every thing about your stang

the original wheel size for a six cylinder mustang was a 13x4.5, for the V8 car it was a 14x5.5 wheel. the 13" wheel was dropped as a running change.

I recall, they were 14" rims and they were either 5.5 or 6" wide. good luck.
