On the way to school this morning the service engine soon light on my 97 ford taurus gl 3.0 flashed several times and is now on solid. When i take off from a stop there is very low power and and the light flashes again. It almost seems like it is 'chocking' on gas when i step on it. I also noticed a burning smell coming from the engine once i arrived at school. Temp gague was normal and oil levels are good. I need help FAST. Thanks

My 1999 Mercury Cougar, with a 2.5 liter V6, continues to have electrical problems despite a recently installed new battery and alternator. The only way to crank the car is to jump it, and after I remove the cables, it stutters, the lights to dim and it shuts off. Also, a recently installed $150 brake light switch is no longer working. A friend indicates a computer/sensor problem here. Anyone have any ideas?, ......Help In GA !!

i just received it .when it is started it idles pretty high as you drive it like it want to go but it don't seem like the idle is up to high cause when i drive at say fifty miles and let go it drops down in speed like it should what do you think is wrong

I just picked one up for my son (it only has 60K miles) and it passes inspection without any problems. But when I drive it, the steering doesn't seem as responsive as I would like. Is this normal for this vehicle or could there be a problem with the steering linkage?

I have an 1997 ford escort, and the lights in the dash blew out. (Alothoug the temp, and sterio still light up) How would I change the dash lights?

Do i really have to tear out the whole dash?

I have ordered a Ford Focus recently and the dealer said it will take 4-8 weeks to build but since there is a slump in car sales in January, do you think my car will be ready sooner than 8 weeks? I am getting a few extras added to the car, but some of the extras are quite easy to fit.

How can I tell it's size by measuring it. I no it's not a small bock and I no it's not a 351m. I took out a small bock and put in the big bock but I cannot get a starter to fit right and work right the fly wheel is ok. The 351m starter seem to small.
