my mom had same problem on 99 taurus check ur antifreeze if thts good ur heater core is plugged and if it is take it in and get it cleaned out unless u want to do tht yourself thts wat worked for my mom

I had the same exact problem a few months ago. Escorts seem to be famous for this. Oddly enough, our serpentine belt broke and we had to replace it. Once we did, (and replaced it entirely correctly) the heat and AC just started right up working. Check your serp belt... and ask an autoparts place about it. There's a certain way to put the belt on to make the heat/ac work. It's not the blower motor, that's what we though alllll along, but it's not that.

i own a repair shop,and check the coolant level in it,,if it gets low,,it will cause it not to blow any heat from it,,also feel of the heater hoses ,and see if there getting hot enough to produce heat,,if all this checks good ,it may need to be flushed out real good ,to allow the hot water to go through the heater core,also check the thermostat ,and make sure its working good,,they will cause a lot of problems in cold weather,,good luck ,i hope this help,s.
