I have an 1997 ford escort, and the lights in the dash blew out. (Alothoug the temp, and sterio still light up) How would I change the dash lights?

Do i really have to tear out the whole dash?

check the fuses in your car's fusebox first. . .
should indicate in your manual.

could be a bad wire, fuse, insturment clister or control module. if it were me id check the fuses and the wires going to your headlight switch and your dimmer switch. any signs of corrosion/burnt wiring or connectors are usually obvious and very common.

One of the fuses is probably burnt out. You just need to figure out which one.

You can go up from under the steering wheel, make sure you turn off the battery.
