Hi, have a 3 year old mondeo ( new type).
Reversing lights gone, went to fuse box to change fuse but we have no cover on the box. The lid should tell you which fuse is which.
I have been on the web, but can only find the old type of fuse box ( more than 3 years old).
All the manual says is "look at fuse box lid to find correct fuse".
Went out today to buy a hayes car book, but the new mondeo book is not due out untill June.
Can anyone help please by telling me which fuse it is, or even snap a photo of the cover lid for me?
Much thanks

(1998 Ford Ranger - 4cyl. automatic, ~97,000mi)
Today I was driving to work, and I got less then a mile from my house when I started noticing that my truck wasn't accelerating. Check engine light came on, but all other instruments were normal. I decided to pull into a parking lot hoping I could turn around and go back to my house...only made it a few feet into the parking lot before the engine stuttered (shaking the truck back and forth significantly) and then died. I could restart the truck, but it would quickly stutter and die again. Battery is working fine, oil might be a little low (but will fix that), transmission fluid fine, temperature was normal, had plenty of gas, and tried restarting several times with the same stutter and die result. What could be wrong with my truck? Please help! Will provide other info if needed.

OK. More about my 87 Ranger. It runs too f'ing hot. Hits the N in norm and drops to the top of the O. Never ever goes below half now. I have to drive it 67 miles each way for a couple more days. I know my head gasket is not blowed up yet. What will this do to my truck?

I suspect it may be a pinhole leak in the heater core, a dying fan clutch, air in the cooling system, the wrong thermostat, or maybe its perfectly normal to run that hot, but nobody seems to think so.

Me and my hubby have almost identical cars and we both have difficulties starting them from cold. It takes ages for the engine to crank over and then there's a large plume of smoke when it does start up. Not sure if it's the glow plugs - I try to give mine 3 chances to get the job done before I try and turn her over. The smoke appears to be fuel rather than oil as there is no excess oil use on either cars. Has anyone come across this fault before and, if so, do you know what it points to?

I want to get sat nav for my Ford Focus but it has a heated front screen and on the sat nav boxes it says that if you have a heated front screen you might need an additional aeriel. Has anyone fitted a (not a Ford one) sat nav to a Focus with a heated front screen and did you need an extra aerial fitted. Thanks, Ruth

lock is sticking when i open the boot, you can hear the lock opening and closing very fast (sounds like a machine gun) the only way that i have made it stop is to take the lock out and then put it back

I need an all wheel drive utility vehicle. Subaru's are a little small but the Ford Escapes are the right size. I don't need it for deep off road but do for snow and travel in winter of trips less than 500 miles, am looking into a hybrid escape in 4WD or just a 4cyl AWD Escape. Anyone have any experience with these?

I just bought a new Ford Escape and I was offered a 7 years extended warranty for $1600. The salesperson told me that I can get ALL my money back if I will not put more than 70.000 miles in my car in 7 years. Is this program real or is there a catch?

Hey everyone...I ordered a 2007 Mustang GT Premium on October 17, 2006. Prior to ordering my dad was checking into everything and the salesman said it would be about 4-6 weeks before I got the car. The day I ordered it and handed over $500 to secure the order, the salesman said it would be 4-8 weeks. Now it's January 8, 2007 and I have NO clue about my car. The dealership told me they'd keep me updated about the status of the car (ex. what stage of production, etc.). They're clueless. I've contacted Ford Motor Company via their website and they haven't even helped me. I really feel like I've been screwed. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm seriously thinking about going somewhere else and buying something besides the 'stang, even though that's all I've ever driven. At this point in time, I'm pretty much done with Ford Motor Company...any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
