What I would do is basically what everyone else is telling you to do. What I would do is check the fuses and I can tell you thats what it is! I know that because the Tac and heating runs off the fuse's in the truck. Does the dome light work? I ask that because in many cars the Tac and the dome light are hooked up with eachother. So good luck I hope it works :-)

It could definitely be fixed. Keep it simple at first. Check all the fuses. If they are all good go get yourself a manual at the auto parts store. It will tell you the location of the sending units for the tach and the temp gage. Good luck.

Get a sevice manual with a wiring diagram from a parts store, then study the wiring diagram untill you can firure out what the gauges have in common, do they share the same power... if so that would be a good place to start....maby there all on the same ground. Issue is probably in the dash somewhere.
Be sure to start with the simple stuff like fuses, relays. and breakers.

check your fuses first to see if any of them are blown. Did anyone do any electrical wiring work to the car recently ? If they did, look in the area of the wiring work. Sometimes you can talk to a mechanic and they will give you ideas, there are also guides for working on your vehicle. You will want wiring diagrams and electrical guidance.
