Hey everyone...I ordered a 2007 Mustang GT Premium on October 17, 2006. Prior to ordering my dad was checking into everything and the salesman said it would be about 4-6 weeks before I got the car. The day I ordered it and handed over $500 to secure the order, the salesman said it would be 4-8 weeks. Now it's January 8, 2007 and I have NO clue about my car. The dealership told me they'd keep me updated about the status of the car (ex. what stage of production, etc.). They're clueless. I've contacted Ford Motor Company via their website and they haven't even helped me. I really feel like I've been screwed. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm seriously thinking about going somewhere else and buying something besides the 'stang, even though that's all I've ever driven. At this point in time, I'm pretty much done with Ford Motor Company...any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Firstly, the salesman should never have told you 4-6 weeks, as production time has been 6-10 weeks for any U.S. built vehicle, or more depending on recent plant closures and layoffs. Secondly, on the back of your contract with the dealer, there is a clause that states the dealer has 90 days to produce the vehicle stated in the contract, or the customer has the option to cancel the deal and get their deposit reimbursed. This option is up to you. Thirdly, there is a "Vehicle Status Report" that is generated every Thursday that shows the status of you vehicle, and which you have the right to view. On there, it will tell you if the vehicle has already been pulled for production, give you dates, and even a VIN number if one has been issued. Ask to see this report. Lastly, you may have the dealer check on "Conceps" (Dealer Search) to see if there is a Mustang on another dealer's lot somewhere that matches the criteria you are looking for, and they could get this vehicle for you, instead of making you wait for your order. Good luck to you and I hope you get your car soon... a great vehicle choice.

Well if you have always driven the mustang, why would you change that? Now I would not say that it is Fords fault because if they have someone spending BIG BUCKS on a car like that, they will get it out as fast as possible right? I think that the dealership screwed up because when something like that happends people like to point fingers. The best idea would be to wait for the mustang and when the next trade in and ordering comes in go to a differnt dealer, because if you ask me, they are all a**es. Hope that I made you feel a little better maybe not but I tried

My friend got a 06 V6 Pony Package as his first car from the factory. He ordered it in December of 05 and got it in the begining to latter weeks of February. This was probably because of it being a new car and not so many being produced. In Your Case the Premium is the top of the line Mustang and not commnoly ordered. It would probably take long if you ordered a Windvail Blue or Grabber Orange color with 18" Polished allumminum wheels with a Cal-Spcl. package or something not to common luck that. Good Luck with your car and have a sfe driving experience.

A Good Mustang is worth the wait, I know, not that long, Keep in mind that Ford motor Company is closing plants due to restructuring. Also keep in mind that your mustang should have premium grade BF Goodrich tires made in Tuscaloosa AL.

Everything is worth the wait especially a new "Tang"

Good luck with your new car and drive safe and slow (Their very fast) so be safe.

The #1 and #2 automakers in North America. Ford is #3 worldwide behind Toyota. Ford is the leader in truck sales worldwide. GM's quality has improved. some car lines are as good as the Asians.Ford is not so bad either, latest cars are getting good scores in J.D.power. The question is who will survive? GM is done for if Delphi strikes. Which looks unlikely now. Ford, although not in good shape has cash reserves. My bet is on Ford. Only the fittest survive.
