Check fuses first if all OK probably a bad flasher they have one for turn signals and one for emergency flashers, because you have to have your key on for turn signals but hazard flasher are battery hot all the time .

90% chance it's the multifunction switch. Get it fixed, or soon you won't even have turn signals and brake lights, as it's ALL routed through that switch. My '96 Contour had the same problem. First the hazard went out, then eventually the two lights stopped working altogether.

Have you checked the fuse ? Look under the dash for two round things plugged in (in the older makes these are what flash your signal ,and hazard lights) -they make the clicking sound. If it's not the fuse turn on your signal light listen for which one isn't clicking and replace the other. They just plug in usually.

It could be a fuse, if the light bulb was burned out you wouldn't have turn signals. Nine times out of ten it is the flasher unit. it should be located underneath the dashboard by the fuses. there is one for the turn signals and for the hazard lights.

I have a 96 ranger. I have had same problem. I guess switch has contact problems or something and they do not work.

But I turned on directional when putting on 4 ways, they work. Kept pushing the button, and now switch is working....

ToddG is correct, you have a bad fuel pressure regulator . the regulator controls the amount of fuel pressure that flows to the fuel injectors, providing smooth operation. Take the car to a reputable auto repair shop for service. Good Luck !!!!!!!

If the turn signals flash, its either a fuse, or the multifunction switch.
