out of balance front tire(s)?

It could be a couple of things..

1) Tire balance (or lack of it actually) will cause that. Either have the balance checked or rotate the rear tires to the front to see if it changes.

2) Alignment problems will cause your car to drift.

3) Bad wheel bearings (check the left side first) will cause both problems but usually you would hear it long before the shaking. Check this by jacking up the wheel and then shake it hard from side to side. It should not move.

4) If your car has a steering stabilizer (looks like a shock absorber mounted horizontally on the steering assembly).. when this fails your car will shake.

5) A loose steering assembly and/or idler arm

6) A bent wheel rim (while the car is jacked up simply spin the wheel(s) and see if it wobbles.

Thats about all that I can think of... anyone have anthing else???

good luck.....
