After 2 years of owning a Ford (my first and last) am I wrong in my opinion of Ford? Check this link. Read some of the problems. If you read them all it will take a lot of your time. Just read the first few and realize that they are all pretty much the same. Then tell me why I'm wrong in my opinion.

Our 1998 Tdi is running very poorly. Particularly under acceleration, but also during normal driving it hesitates under acceleration. The amount of hestitation varies wildly - sometimes it seems to bog down and won't move, other times its more of a slight feeling of being underpowered. When the engine gets hot (say after 30mins of driving) it sometimes stalls when we stop the car.

What could the problem be please?

My 2006 Ford Escape Limited (V6, Automatic) usually was getting about 21.4 MPG and over the last few months it has been at 20.4.

My driving patterns (highway vs. city) are about the same.

I use 87 grade gas from a variety of different companies.

I was looking to see if anyone had thoughts as to why the drop in the MPG on the car.

I think someone jammed snow in my filler cap area. It is solid and goes down at least 12 inches. I scopped out that much and it is still solid way down. Best way is to let it thaw. Dump Heet and fill the tank? Any thoughts.
Yes someone did a bad thing.
