After 2 years of owning a Ford (my first and last) am I wrong in my opinion of Ford? Check this link. Read some of the problems. If you read them all it will take a lot of your time. Just read the first few and realize that they are all pretty much the same. Then tell me why I'm wrong in my opinion.

Actually they don't have more money that me. I made money last year, they lost billions. Any other misguided statements?

I figured Ford fans would never admit fault. 5 Dealers told me it is a design flaw. 3 threads in aluminum won't hold. As far as the other links, how many of them are recalls? That means the company is fixing the problem. Ford denies any problem. THe NHTSB won't issue a recall because "No one has been seriously injured or killed." The extended warranty I bought didn't cover it because it is a non lubricated part of the engine. Nuff said. You 5.4 and V10 owners keep your eyes closed and wait for it to happen to you. It will. I'm out.

Yes you are wrong. All my years of FoMoCo warranties and our office which processes more than 100 ford dealers has only had a handfull of claims that had vehicles spitting out plugs. There is no TSB's on this either. I know I have had a few chevys do the same thing but those were more hi compression engines. Knock on wood none of my Mustangs have ever spit a plug out. how many millions of fords are on the road with no problems. The materials are aluminum now so its really easy to blow out plugs of any vehicle. remember aluminum is a soft metal. theres lots of psi there in the head producing a controlled explosion to create spark and hp.

Like any car , make or model, some are just not up to expectations and others are, most of the time....The more popular the make of a vehicle the more of them that are out there and that means, more of the porblems are going to be known, because more people are driving them and finding them... every car maker has some kinds of problems, the competition for supply and demand for newer and better vehicles are makiing the vehicle industry pop out cars quicker, and the car makers are looking to lessen the cost of of manufacturing, and a quicker turn around which in turns lessens quality and and more mistakes in engineering whether it is in the motor area or body design...Jus tbe be cause one certain vehicle has problems doesn't mean that all that makers vehicles are bad. Now, personally, I wouldn't own a bulck, but my dad swears by them. and I personally favor older cars for durability and reliability....good luck....

I have owned three Fords and they have all been pretty reliable. Each one has had minor problems, but almost all of them were covered under warranty. They're sure as heck better than anything Daimler/Chrysler puts out -- I have owned only one Dodge but have rented several Chrysler products and all except one died on me (the one I owned was an exercise in frustration just to keep the stupid thing running).

I cant be bothered to go into mega detail right now, but,to your opinion I'm going to have to say,no,because ford are extremely good at making cars for every bodies needs, and the ford f-150 was the US`s most popular vehicle in 2005,so obviously the people who bought the truck don't think that ford are lousy as a motoring company, also they own global automobile companies such as,Aston martin, jaguar, mercury,Lincoln and land rover,so to your opinion I'm going to have to dis-agree.

Yes, you are wrong..... just because of a spark plug defect....
and ford didnt lose a penny....where is your proof?
If you goto fords website you will see Ford made a 4.6% sales increase on 2006..... sales include.....

Explorer now accounts for %36 of all SUV sales in the US
Explorer now has sold 5.5 million
Explorer best selling SUV for 15 years straight
Escape best selling small SUV in 2006
Mustang best selling sports car in the US for 2006
F-150 best selling truck again in the us for 2006

Ford is a good vehicle. I have been driving for 27 years and have owned vehicles from all of the big 3..... in my opinion ford makes the best trucks.... dodge the best cars... and chevy makes junk.... thats 27 years of driving experience.... and my opinion...so dont get mad...... :)

All cars break or they would never come out with new models year after year. I believe Ford is a nice car and about the same as any other car when you compare dollar for dollar.

Ford makes great trucks. But I'm concerned about it's growing reputation as being so damnably queer-friendly. I'll probably look elsewhere when the Expedition wears out.

Have you ever heard of the Ford Foundation?
The charitable organization, created with gifts from Henry & Edsel Ford, in 1936.

I could type on & on, & copy a dozen more links for you.... but I prefer to dwell on more positive Q&A's.

Oh by the way, thank you for giving me another link to add to my arsenal.
Allow me to return the favor. Have you ever gone to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website?
I find it very helpful when answering questions, especially the Office Of Defects Investigation site.
From here you can look up EVERY complaint (safety related) on every vehicle ever made!
