I was going to change the cd in my cd player. Right when the old one came out I went to put the new one in and they both went in. It made some clicking noise then ejected both of them. Not everytime I put a cd in it clicks then ejects it. Can someone tell me if it's permanently broken or is there is something I can do to fix it? Please, it's not even a year old.

There was a burned cd put into my cd player and played fine, actually it was played several times and inserted and ejected fine until one day it made a funny spinning noise and wouldn't eject then now the cd player will not work. Just the boring radio!

I have a car stereo (2006 Hyundai Sonata) that says on the face something like "MP3 enabled". I want to play my iPod through the stereo, but there is no jack to connect the iPod to the stereo that I can see. I know I can buy one of several devices that will send the sound through the car's FM radio, but then what does the stereo mean when it says "MP3 enabled"? I could play through ANY FM radio with one of those devices, whether the stereo was "MP3 enabled" or not. Any idea what is the significance of "MP3 enabled"?

Oh, and no need to suggest that I look in the car manual (not there) or ask Hyundai. Yeah, I could do that, but I'm trying to find out if someone here knows the answer first.

ok i hooked up my car system, but i only have a tape player in the car, and that is how i used to use the ipod. See, now i have a system with an amp and sub, is there anyway i can make the ipod work in my car without buying a cd player or the crapy fm tuner. if there isn't, how can i connect my ipod to my system inexpensively (so my sub would work with it), with a cd player? I have a 2000 ford taurus if that helps...

In a subwoofer...there's a hard hitting and loose hitting...usually people get them in one subwoofer but i've seen it split up between loose hitting (which will really shake up the air) or hard hitting kickers on pimp my ride.

Does anyone have recommendations for this kind of subwoofer and what amp to go with it? (ive gotten a recommendation from a friend to get a jl audio w7 for a sub but i need more recommendations)

ok i have been reading some stuff about spl levels and the safety of them and i had some questions. i have had my car system for about a year now and i love to crank it out. I dont think ive damaged my hearing yet or at least not much, but if im wrong you tell me otherwise. When i crank my stereo, you can definately feel the bass mess with your hair and "hit" you. But its not loud enough to give that "tickling" feeling in your ear like someone is screaming in it, or at least not to a great intensity. And my buddies and i do have to raise our voices to hear each other, but we dont have to scream bloody murder to hear. Ive never had a ringing either after listening to the system and id say the most continuos time ive had it up is maybe 25 minutes AT THE MOST. Do you think i coul have damaged my hearing, and is it possible to do so if i havnt with the (weak, yes im sorry) description i have given you?

i have a 1988 honda accord 4dr dx. i went to autozone today because battery light was on in car. it has been on for three days whenever i drove. i bought a new battery to only find out my alternator has gone bad. the guy gave it like two or three days. i had a system installed in my car 4 months ago and havent had any problems till now. It was the orignal alternator in the car i think 65 amps. in my car i have 2 12" acoustik subs i think 1200 watts each with a kenwood 1800 amp. 4 6.5 infinity speakers. it was installed at bestbuy. i have hardly any money right now , it sucks. i went to a auto shop and they estimated 100 bucks to install the new alternator, i just now need to buy one. it is kind of hard finding one for my year, i did find a refurbished one on ebay with 165 amps for like 180 dollars. is that a good deal, do you know where i can get one for a better price? what should i do. i really dont know a lot about spekers and stuff accept i know i like the sound.
