its not hard, honestly only hard part is routing the power cable thro a grommet in ur firewall to ur battery and and the rca cables to the back of the headunit and pulling up some cable. simply put if u have an after market headunit its easy as hell, but if u have a factory installed headunit have a professional do it

for u, get a 12 inch alpine type r subwoofer(dual 2ohm voice coils and an alpine mrd-650 amplifer and run that **** in a 4 ohm system giving u 400 watts rms, they will pound. lookin at 150 for the sub, 220 for the amp and like 80 for the box on ebay wit shipping.

onlinecarstereo.com has good prices and freeshipping for the equipment

there is also a compromise solution. A lot of companies make decent powered sub enclosures, like Kenwood KSC-WD250. It means you don't have to do any box fabrication.
If you haven't done any installation before, building a box will show it (read look like cr@p). A pre-assembled enclosure can look decent in the car and you don't have to worry about matching the amp to the woofer.
You'll still have to do wiring to the batt and head unit, but at least half the project is done.

If your not a pro at it,then have a professional do it for you. That way you know for sure it'll sound good and be hooked up right. I recommend Kicker sub woofers. Got one myself!

a hundred and forty db's isn't directly unfavorable, different clever I could be deaf, seeing how i'm in the army with an aviation rated activity. I could be deaf like 50 X over by using now, in view that jets produce over a hundred and forty db's i.e.. F-14 Tomcat. yet none the fewer this is going to break your listening to, directly nonetheless, no. listening to injury take time to ensue, no longer something is straight away going to ensue like that.
