I don't know about the 97s, but I looked everywhere for the code for my 99 A6. Forget about it and go to the dealership. I think it's about $20 - $40.

STOP before you go to the dealer check the owner's manual it should be hand written in there or on a small piece of paper some call the radio card, some times the codes are on top of the radio also but that requires removing the deck..... if i remember correctly you might just need some volkswagon radio keys and it's not that hard unless it's iso-mounted.... stop buy your local car audio shop and talk to an installer offer him $5 to pop it out if it's not iso-mounted, it takes 30 seconds

Only the Audi dealer can give u the codes. Bring it to the dealership, bring your registration/title and they'll run the VIN and you'll get the codes, it should take less than 10 min. It costs about 50 bucks

Disconnect the battery earth for 20 minutes, re-connect and all should be properly. All automobile stereos are in reality a similar and this has continually worked for me. be particular you press the right button even as the code is put in again. No 6 on Ford.

only a dealer can get you the code as long as the car is not hot you wont have a problem but some times you can ring the car makers your self and if you are lucky and that person is in the right mood thay will give it to you for free but have your Vin ready for when thay ask as i have been lucky before.

Dealer. You'll need the VIN codes.

If you're nice to them, they might give them to you for free. Otherwise, they'll reset it for a few bucks.

WHATEVER YOU DO, write down the code someplace where you can find it (NOT on the radio!!).
