which is better pioneer or rockford?

i am interested in upgrading my cool viabrations and need the opinions of the masses

I choose Rockford Fosgate. Car/marine audio is all they manufacture so all of their focus is on those products. As for Pioneer, they also produce T.V's, navigation etc. so they aren't giving 100% focus on their audio. Also from personal experience, Rockford is more durable than Pioneer and have lasted me longer in the long run. I also think they perform better than Pioneer does. If I were you, I would go with Rockford of the two, but if you want to go all out, Infinity is the way to go. Hope this helps.

I agree with Papalindo.
Head unit or video, go Pioneer.
Amps or speakers go RF.
note, I've been a service tech for way too long, but in that time I've learned that RF is a lot tougher to work on than Pioneer, or any of the other Japanese brands. If this system is supposed to last years beyond the warranty period, an RF amp will cost you more to repair. That shouldn't make your decision for you, but it might be worth considering if you're 50/50

pioneer by far. they have the spl world record, and there amps have the new ICE technology. rockford hasnt been good sinse the mid to late 90s. not to mention pioneer navi is awesome, and there eq's are crazy.

hmmm this is a toughy! i think people r gonna say pioneer b/c it's a "national" brand. but people r always drooling over Rockford Fosgate. they sound good. but me, i would get kicker or JL.

pioneer makes better head unit speakers suck
and amplifier they are ok entry level

fosgate made very good amplifier they old one are a lot better than what they have now i still have a puch 650 and 2 200ix
but is better to go with fosgate amplifier and woffers

if u mean woofer,go for ROCKford.
if u a aiming to setup a dolby surround system, try pioneer.
Cerwin Vega is always the best choice.
