well, bazooka tubes are very good depending on what u looking for. anything hatchback or a truck will always get good peformance out of them. i don't care for the self amplified. i actually have the old tube(the one long tube with 8's on each end). u would never think i just have a tube in there. if u have an suv, then they will definitely work for you but if u putting them in a enclosed car truck then u probably won't get much from them. basically, the more open air space u give them the better the sound. if u have a good 300 to 400 watt amp, it should work nicely.

I installed an 8 inch bazooka in the trunk of my '91 Miata and got what I was looking for. I'm no audiophile but it sounded fine to me. It won't rattle the neighbors windows but it seems to be a quality product and is simple to install.

i, personally, hate those things. theyre ok for small, compact cars to add some bass, since music with bass sounds alot better. if your looking for nice bass, like car bumping and hair vibrating bass, youll never get it out of a bazooka tube. plus its so compact, it comes with sub and amp in one unit that hooks up to a speaker wire i think. that alone tell you its not a quality product. its basically for people that dont want to spend too much and arent really into audio that much, but like to listen to music while diriving.

I have installed a JBL active subwoofer tube in my car and sounds great, but not amazing. This is because my car is a 5 series saloon. It really depend on ur car's size. If you have got a smaller car, the bazooka should blow your mind.

All audio depends on preference. Most big name stores have a "Try it, before you Buy it" program. Go to them. Cars don't use tubes that great to my experience. Single cab trucks, on the other hand do. It's hit and miss.
