Can anyone give me an idea about what CB Radio would be a good unit to by. I have seen a Midland Unit 40 channels for £50. To be honest i dont need all the bells and whistles just a good basic unit will do. Price is important as it will be constantly changed from vehicle to vehicle on a daily basis. I have the ariel, mic, patch cable and SWR meter. Its been a long time since i had my last radio. Help!!

I left my lights on at work and so when I got off the battery was dead. I found a person to gimmie a jump but when he hooked up the cables he did one side backwards from the other. Surprizingly the battery didn't explode and there was only damage done to the wire that leads (I'm assuming) from the battery to the alternater. It melted in half just before the fuzeable link making it where the van could be jump started and would run as long as the jumper cables remained connected correctly between vehicals but as soon as they came off my battery would immediately drain and the van died. Anyway after fixing the wire and starting the van again every thing seemes to work good as it ever did EXCEPT my radio. I've checked the fuze under my dash and it is not blown but I replaced it with a new one anyway to be safe. The radio is completely dead as if it is not getting any power to it. Does anyone got a clue on whats wrong with it?

I just got an 06 mustang gt with the shaker 500. sounds fairly good at low to medium volume levels, but when you crank it up, the bass practically vanishes, and the treble sounds like an am radio from the 70's. this is supposed to be a 500 watt system, but....if it is, the speakers must be a really high impedence. Is the key in the head unit, amps, speaker ohm rating, or a controller of some sort in the mix? with an 8 speaker system, i feel it should sound alot better than it does. Ive put together some awesome sounding systems in the past, looks like i may have my work cut out for me here. Anyone with the same set up that has made improvements, please help!!

I have a 2001 Dodge Stratus and recently bought a new radio and install kit. Without ever having seen one replaced, I was hoping someone had a similar experience and could share how to get my factory radio out without any damage (I don't want to go pulling on things I shouldn't). Any help?

Hi, I drive a Toyota Reflect 1996 model. The car has 2 Kenwood speakers fitted in the back. Each of the speakers has 110 Watt rating and has four wires (1 Black, 1Red, 1Gray, 1 Blue), there are two pairs of wire coming out of the radio/casette-player. The car is second hand and the previous owner had probably connected the wires incorrectly. The speaker used to give screeching sounds while giving any sound output. I have rewired the speakers, and the screeching seems to be reduced. But it cannot produce the Bass like other cars of the same model. I want to know the correct wiring scheme. Please help me.

Left Speaker: 4Wires (1 Black, 1Red, 1Gray, 1 Blue)
Right Speaker: 4Wires (1 Black, 1Red, 1Gray, 1 Blue)
2 pairs of Golden wires

I use a tape adapter to play my mp3 player in my car, and turning the teble all the way down decreases the static noise and putting it all the way up increases the static noise.

Does putting the treble down all the way affect the quality?
