I have a Ford Fiest Flight EON CD/car radion system. All of a sudden, las week the radio started to pack up (very bad reception at times, sometimes inaudible). Arial on car looks undamaged. Can anyone tell me how this can be resolved?

It is possible that the plug with all the wires in the back has become a little loose. Alternatively, a wire is broken inside the insulation. It has finally broken through enough to the radio won't play, part of the time, but the insulation has it positioned so the broken sides touch part of the time.
Now, there could be a bare place in a wire as well, just enough to cause the thing to ground or short out on occasion.
Finally, something could be wrong in the switch contact, or some other place inside the car radio itself.
Now, also, the arial could have a break inside the cable you can't see. that would also bugger the signal.
I hope some or one of these ideas works for you. A car without music is like a tomb these days.

Yup!
Most definately a loose wire in aerial connection.
Bet it works a lot better in the rain!..oddly.
Get roof top aerial connections looked at. I've had same problem in the past.
