I was looking at CB radios on ebay, and was wondering if i'd find anyother people on CB radio to chat to if i purchased one? - Ta Keith.

It depends on where you live. CB is certainly still active. It's not as busy as it once used to be. This may be a good thing, since you will hear a great deal of bad language and other assorted misconduct. There are a lot of good folks on CB; but you need to really be careful of who you talk to.

Yes you will. You might not understand the lingo but they are used all the time. Just remember that CB's don't have much of a range so if you live in the boonies then you won't have many people to chat with. But if you live in a populated area then you should have more than enough people to talk to

Truckers . He he when my mom was 16 years old she had a Fird Pinto with a CB radio, and her CB Radio nickname was 'California Cupcake'.

They still exist ,but there are Licensing issues related to Power Out Put,Usable Frequencies and Antenna Size!

Yes, alot of people do. i use mine daily as i am a truck driver so it is a very important part of my daily routine when you get one make sure you have someone hook it up that knows what they are doing and set the swr's correctly to get the best out of it..

I would say there are some who still use CB's. The truckers still use them.

I've got one on the back of my jeep.
Comes in handy to get road reports
