ok i co-signed on a car with someone and they have been behind on payments for about 8 or 9 months and when i say behind i mean not making a pament at all for that period of time, now the finance company has a reposesion out for the car and they have been calling and harassing me about payments and keep wanting to know where the car is so they can pick it up, i keep telling them that if i knew where it was i would be more than happy to tell and i dont think it is fair for me to make payments on a car that i never see let alone drive, after all im not the primary owner i just co-signed (i know, i made a big mistake and since i put my name on the car lone the finance company sees it as i have a partial obligation to keep the car up to date with payments, but like i said i never see the car and have never even driven it so i cant waist my money on payment for something i have absolutly no controlle over, expecially since i am stretched with money and im having a hard time making my own car

After talking to car saleman for a couple days now, I've considered of buying a Hyundai, 2008, for 17000.00 before tax, which is 3.2%, processing fee about $330, import fee for about $650 and something else for $68. This car include sunroof, power seat and standard stuff.

Can someone please tell me if this is a good deal or are they ripping me off.

Does anyone have any information regarding reposessions? Basically I need to know, if I voluntarily repossess my car back to the company I got the loan through, do I have to continue paying the car off? Or if they repossess it do I have to pay it off still as I just need to get out of it and I know I wont get the price I still owe on the car if i privately sell it. PLEASE HELP :0(

I have a 1978 Chevy Caprice Wagon with a 350 engine. The car is rusted out, it has 342,000 miles on its origional engine and transmission. The car runs like new yet, and is very quiet. I changed oil every 3000 miles and kept up the maintenance according to the owner's manual. I have never had any trouble with this car, and the mechanic said that according to the compression test, it could go about another 100,000 miles. The car starts good every day, even in the cold. I might never find another car as durable as this one. Should I recondition the body on it?

im interested in buying this car but the guy says that he doesn't "believe" that i should pay tax again for the car so he said he would transfer the car in my name as a gift (when we go to the insurance place etc.)... is there another reason why he would want to do this (to scam me etc.) other than the fact that I don't have to pay tax??

I posted another question asking about buying new vs. used Hondas, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't just run my current car into the ground.

I have a 93 Honda del Sol that I've had since 2003. It's coming up on 124,000 miles. There are currently no issues with it (knock on wood) and the only problems I've had are parts failing because of age. I've replaced the master/slave cylinders, radiator, and some other stuff I can't remember off-hand.

I was thinking of getting a CR-V because I could use more room now that I have a dog, but I don't NEED the room, I just prefer it. Space won't be a pressing issue for a few more years.

I'm wondering if it would be better to just keep on driving the del Sol until it costs more to repair it than the car is worth -- or if I should sell it while I can still get at least some type of return on it.

From a financial standpoint, what's the best option here?

As an example, will the salesman roll his eyes at me if I give him a firm offer of $11,000 for a car that's selling for $12,000?

As long as I make an offer that's well above the invoice price for that car, the dealership is still making a profit and doesn't have much reason to complain...right?

Back in may of this year i filled out for what i believed to be a personal loan from eloans,i was approved and used the money to buy a car.About a month after having it,i ended up losing my job and had to go out and work for a moving company out of town most weeks for a few months.I ended up defaulting on the loan, and when ive had the chances to call to try to make payment plans with them to get caught up,ive been dissrespected and treated like an idiot.I go from one supervisor to the next.Noone seems to want to help me.Either way i got the title for the car about 1 month after i got the car.I recieved a clean title from New York State DMV saying it was my car and there wasn't a lien on it.Now I guess Citifinancial Auto bought the loan from eloans, they still wont make a payment arangement with me,and there trying to take the car. They had investigators come talk to me,and they were saying they're trying to find out whether or not im frauding the company, because im trying to sell the car

Not too sure on the year.
Toyota Camry, the old square style.
80's?
My brother insists on buying this for $1300.00 for himself.
I think he could find something much better.
I think he is going to start running into major problems with that high mileage.
What do you think?

Exactly what information do they write down when they make a "copy" of your dr. license? Do they do a credit check, background? Or simply ONLY for insurance liability purposes.

I am looking to buy a luxury car and I want to test drive 4 different manufacturers but dont want credit checked everytime. (will they let me drive a $50k car? im a young male but i have $$ lol). is there any way I test drive for more than 5 min. (maybe like an hour or so? ).
