There is NO right to return a car because you changed your mind.

I can not say this enough!!!

The 72 hours rule that everyone keeps talking about applies to in home sales. It does not apply when you go to a "normal place of business". It was designed to prevent people from being pressured into signing contracts just to get the salesman to leave their home. When you go to a place of business, you always have the option of walking out. You can not walk out of a sales situation in your own home.

When you take delivery of a vehicle, and drive it off the dealers lot, you own it!! The dealer is not required to take it back.

Did you have the car checked out by your own mechanic prior to purchase? If not, why not? If the car was sold as-is, you have to pay for any needed repairs yourself.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

This iswhat you get with a used car. Always before you buy a car without a warranty, you find a mechanic to look at it that is not from where you bought it.

What you should do is take it to a shop for repairs, unless you are handy. I expect you decided not to have it checked out prior to buying it. As you said, it has no warranty, so any repairs needed are your responsibility. And as someone else has already said....There is no lemon law coverage for used cars. Those who keep perpetuating the myth do no favors.

i think the best place to take it would be a garage. i don't think they would entertain giving you your money back after 9 months. even 5 minutes after buying a used car with no warranty you'd be lucky to get anything back at all.

check and see if you actually got a warranty with it,most cars are sold as is,but it being around x-mas time id say you might get them to help with repairing it,most dealers will help some, first off though look over the papers you got with it,that's real important, and will maybe help you with this one, good luck and merry x-mas.
