After talking to car saleman for a couple days now, I've considered of buying a Hyundai, 2008, for 17000.00 before tax, which is 3.2%, processing fee about $330, import fee for about $650 and something else for $68. This car include sunroof, power seat and standard stuff.
Can someone please tell me if this is a good deal or are they ripping me off.

That sounds like a very good deal to me, I think you will be extremely happy with your new Sonata. At that price you must be getting the 4 cylinder. I agree, you aren't going to find a better price, so either you want the car or you don't. I agree with the guy about looking up the values, put in a 2007 and you'll find out that even bought new they are worth thousands less then the 2008...but the dealer may not be willing to even go down to the true market value often times...so that makes a 2008 the better pick new. The only people that get ripped off by a car dealer are those that don't read all the fine print and understand all the games they can play, in your case you did right by negotiating on price and not payments/trade-in or other crap the sale man can play with.

To the suggestion of getting a 2007 model and I do understand that you have looked both on-line as well as at other dealerships but have you asked them to put this vehicle on a locater.
This will tell you for sure if there are any 2007 models out there in the complete U S of A.
Good Luck

Hi Jessie, all vehicle brands truthfully experiment to destruction many samples of the autos that they produce. The intent that brands set limits is to soak up to account put on and tear and likewise ageing as good. Cambelts are lovely exceptional in thats they dont holiday extra almost always than they do, i personnally whilst i owend a vaxuhall transformed my cambelt each 30,000 miles or 2 years as there might be oil illness at the belt that might minimize the lifetime of the belt and might intent untimely faliure, the vauxhall engine if its an ecotec engine is an interferance engne which means that if the belt does snap whilst the engine is strolling signifies that the interior accessories might hit every different and at first-rate bend vlaves which means the pinnacle might need to come off and at worse a whole engine rebuild so i strongly reccomend that you just comply with the brands reccomendations

What model and trim? Hyundai makes cars and SUV's that range from $12K to $40K. Check for the market price at kbb.com or edmunds.com. It should be above invoice, but less than manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP.)
Be sure to tell them that you are not willing to pay those processing and import fees. Those are made up fees just to make the price higher.

You can go out to a number of web sites and build a car per your specifications and it tells you the approximate price but if you have another Hyundai dealer in your city go to them and try to find a simuliar car, model, etc and work the price between both of them.

Sounds high but shop around.
And why are you getting a 2008? Can't you find a 2007 with real low mileage and save a bunch of money?
god bless

What model? what's the list price? what other equipment? Right off the bat it sounds a little high for any Hyundai, but I'm not a Hyundai salesman.
