State and federal laws and regulations are available free in most public libraries. County courthouses often have law libraries open to the public. You can purchase state statutes and regulations in your state's bookstore, usually found in the state capital. There are federal bookstores in most if not all state capitals and major cities. Many of these are now available online also. State and federal statutes and regulations are also available at higher cost from several legal publishers such as Lexi/Nexis, West, Nolo, etc. A simple googlesearch will get you all you need. Specific laws are often available in small books from many different publishers. All states and US laws and regulations are also available free online. For states, enter [state name].gov for the official state website, or firstgov for the federal web portal. If there is a law school in your area, its library is probably open to the public, except maybe around exam time. Free. Laws and regulations are public records and free, though you will have to pay the cost of copying or assembling them. If a publisher collects them and adds content, such as headnotes or indexes or cases decided under the statute, those parts are copyrighted and not free.

Every law contained in the statute books is available to every man woman and child to read if they care to do so. Apply at your local library and the staff will point you in the right direction. This is were " ignorance of the law is no excuse" comes into play, because the laws ARE available to the public.
