I have a 14' alumacraft flat bottom boat, I belive its close to the 1436 model, but it's probably 10 yrs old. nothing is falling apart on it, the transum is still strong. right now I have a 15hp game fisher on it but I want to put a mercury 15hp 4 stroke (111 lbs). Think the boat can hold it???

when they are sailing a boat like how they raised the sails. And they named some of the parts of the boat, like the mizzen mast and the mizzen boom. I'd like to see other movies that are mildly educational about sailing. Any suggestions.

Just removed the plywood flooring from my boat, and found that the stern end of the ply has dry rot. I cut back to clean timber, but is there a paint or other substance that i can apply to prevent this happening again. the ply seems to absorb moisture through the open fibres on the ends but top and bottom are fine, so i need something that i can apply to prevent moisture entering.

I am soon to purchase Mercury Grand Marquis between the years 1992 -2001. It has 4.6L V8 engine, 240hp. Will the towing of the boat be hard on the car's engine/transmission?

The towing trip is approximately 4 miles each way, to the Bay, 4 miles return home.

1 mechanic here informed me to install some type of cooling device to the transmission which will make the transmission last longer while towing.

Thank you to all my boating/car friends who submitted answers to my previous car/towing questions, as after reading your answers, the Ford Taurus was quickly deleted from my car consideration list.

Thanks - Curt
