if the water is froze you'll know, when you pull the pit cocks out
you'll have no water

if you have water running out then you are OK

it's pretty much as simple as that

but yes it really does matter what temp it is being stored in

Depends on how cold the inside of the garage has gotten so far this winter, doesn't it? Don't you have an owner's manual? A garage in Canada that is unheated might be a problem. One in Arizona, no problem. I've had a boat my whole life.

Dude.. if you live in the Northeast and the garage is not heated
you are in trouble.. I/O engine is usually a car engine, and
even if it is out of the water water always remains in the
block of the motor and the pump and hoses that feed it,again even if it is out of the water..consult your owners Manuel.
there are plugs in the exhaust manifold and motor block that need to be removed for winter also the lower unit should be
bled to make sure it has not picked up any water. Get with
it dude or heat that garage. You could be talking serious $$
damage here ..Good Luck.

...You'll probably find out if you run it to winterize it now, won't you...

I don't think boaters in Miami winterized either...
