I am looking for a boat that is good for skiing, tubing, boarding & fishing. I want about a 18 to 20 ft boat with an open bow.

Any suggestions?

In referring to the term "stroke", I mean as in a 2 stroke or 4 stroke boat engine.

I sail out of Fire Island off the south coast of Long Island on the Great South Bay. Most of the bay is 1 to 2 feet deep.

I've owned a small sailboat (Zuma and Hobie14) for many years, but don't have any experience with anything larger. I now want a sailboat for day tripping around the Bay, with up to 4 adults and 3 kids on board. I've no real interest in racing, just day sailing for fun.

Thanks for your advice.

I am going to try to sell my Bayliner Capri cuttycabin boat. I have had it for 3 years and have only used it a handful of times because my husband was hurt and we can't go on it anymore due to his disabilities. So we need to sell it we tried the boat trader but didn't have any luck. The boat is beautiful and works great. We have serviced it and kept it up, but we can't go out in it because of the ride [my husband had a back injury with surgery] So where is a great place to sell this boat? I live in the Riverside/San Bernardino Area.

i'm planning on repowering my boat. my choices are a mercruiser and a yanmar. the yanmar is a lot more expensive, and much heavier, but will be cheaper on gas. i do not use my boat much, so would the diesel be worth the greater upfront cost?

Well the first engine goes clockwise, and the second engine goes counter clockwise, so what does the third one do?

It is cheap enough to get a boat, not a liner.
