It's a wonderful life. Having said that, you should also know, it's a hard life. My experience has taken me from boating on the lake, to a 300' ship in the Navy and then commercial fishing on the Oregon Coast. I wouldn't trade those experiences, but I wouldn't suggest that life for anyone unless they are willing to do a lot of hard thankless jobs while the deck below is constantly moving back and forth.

Yes I like seafaring. It is a job, but i miss my family terribly when I am at sea. You lubbers would be surprised how much your children can grow in 1-6 months. I consider anyone that spends less than 6 months a year at sea a lubber.
