Dextron III replaces Dextron II. As the number behind Dextron goes up it increase in Quality. You can use dex3 for dex2 but cannot put dex2 if it calls for dex3

There are more additives in III than II. Its an upgrade designed to protect your engine further with a cleansing agent, anti-corrosion and so on. It will not damage your engine.

Nope. All Dexron is compatible. Dexron is just a marketing ploy, soon we will be on Dexron 9.

Don't put transmission fluid in your boat engine. It will really screw it up.
