I would use a fuel additive like 2 + 4 fuel conditioner instead of sta-bil.. The 2+4 will break up any water and keep the fuel from going bad. Sta-bil clumps together water and over time can cause breakdown of your rubber fuel hoses from the inside.

You may not have to worry as much about getting all the water out of the cooling system, but you still need to winterize the gas. Using a product such as Sta-Bil will keep the gasoline in your carb or F.I. system from evaporating and leaving clogging deposits, and will also keep the gas in the tank from going bad.

Not so much for keeping it from freezing, but if you run in salt water, flush out the cooling system with fresh water to prevent so much corrosion. You might mix corrosion inhibitor with your flush. Also, put a product like Stabil in your gas to keep it fresh.
