I just bought a 1996 18ft. Sun Tracker pontoon boat with a 60hp motor. While the boat is running there is a loud beeping that will not shut off. The oil level is full and the water pump is working. What can be causing this? Where can I find a on-line owner manual for this boat?

Are there any Sweedish mechanics planning on taking a vacation in the Philippines? If you can sort out my 2 Volvo AD41P's with DP stendrives, I will pay for part of your vacation. The local mechanics are stuffing me up badly.

They are 2004 AD41P's installed in late 2005, 600 hrs.

My 30ft cruiser has an anchor on a windlass. roughly 20ft of
chain and then 150ft of rope. I also have a depth finder to give me a read of depth.

My windlass DOES NOT have freefall. Therefore how do I know when the anchor has hit the bottom? In other words how much rope for the depth that I'm at?

any ideas? tips?

I am looking a selling a cedar strip canoe I built a few years back. I want to list it on ebay but shipping something that is 60 lbs and 16 feet long is a bit of a challenge. I will crate it but it will add weight and size. What is the best way to ship this and do you know what I need to do for customs?

I have a fiberglass boat im restoring. Im wanting to know if i can use good auto paint with a clear coat or do you have to use marine paint? my boat is in water maybe in water 2-3 days at a time, 3-4 times a year. Not alot. Also while doing some sanding ive noticed hair cracks(like stress cracks throughout the boat) in the fiberglass, is this something i should be worried about. Who ever owned boat before me looks like the slapped a sloppy paint job on it and painted over everything. I tested a area with some filler and primer seems that cracks cover with little work.
