I have been going down to the Alamitos Marina for years now (as well some others in the LA/OC area) and have always dreamed of buying a small boat just for me and to live on it full time. I have never been able to find any office or contact as to how much slips cost, what size boat would be recommended for a single living person and if it is even allowed full time. Any help would be great.

I have a ski boat I am currently tinkering with. I want to get some marine headers. I know that someone out there makes them, but I'm just not sure who. But, I have seen many boats with headers. What I have is a 1990 Ford 351. It has the big typical block style exhaust manifolds. Anyone know where I can purchase some headers for this particular engine???

I have a 1996 Nitro bass boat with a 150 hp mercury. The power trim on the motor and at the top of the bow works great, except for the trim switch on the trottle lever. Can someone tell me how to open up the lever so I can check the wiring? There doesn't seem to be any screws for me to unscrew. Is this a minor problem only? Thanks in advance.

Is there a way to test an ignition condenser to see if it is working properly? Aside from replacing I mean. The small engine is a 25 year old 2 hp Johnson outboard motor and the spark is strong but interrmittant with a spark tester. And what exactly does a condenser do? Is it like a capacitor? Can I put 2 in parallel? Would that help the spark quality?

I'm looking at a 1400 pound boat, that is 18 feet long. What kind of truck would you recommend to pull this? The smaller the truck the better, but it obviously has to be safe.

I am 40 years old with no children, going through my 3rd divorce. I am thinking of selling it all and moving to the Caribbean. I was thinking about living on a boat. Either a sailboat or a small cruiser, I am not sure. I would appreciate any advice on this idea from those of you who may have experienced this or know someone who has.
