Well she has been a labor of love for you and therefore you have put much of YOUR personality into her. It is hard to part with her cause its become sentimental for you. You just have to weigh out the pros and cons of selling her or not and then that will tell you the right decision to make. If you have work coming up to cover the cost of your expenses then you might be fine. If your selling it to have the extra cash for your days off then you may very well regret it if that doesnt turn out as you hoped. Weigh all of it cautiously and decide wisely.
hugs my friend, Lisa

It is indeed difficult to part with your boat. The previous owners of my 38' sailboat treated the sale almost as an adoption! .... They had to know that the boat that had taken them to Mexico and across the Pacific and back safely, was going to someone who would love and care for her as much as they did. They actually rejected several higher offers for her than the one I made. If I ever have to part with this boat, I will have the same criteria for her prospective new owners.

It better NOT be a "Whaler" ! I also get emotionally attached to inanimate objects. Think of all the fun over the years, it did it's job, and got your butt back safely to land. Give it a big salute, thank it, "Mission Complete", you are hearby relieved of your duties", take a picture of you next to the boat. You'll always have THAT !

Just think about the money you'll get when you sell it. Also, having to pay for the insurance and maintenance on it is a hassle.

Try to make sure it goes to a good home, someone who will love it as much as you do.
