I am looking a selling a cedar strip canoe I built a few years back. I want to list it on ebay but shipping something that is 60 lbs and 16 feet long is a bit of a challenge. I will crate it but it will add weight and size. What is the best way to ship this and do you know what I need to do for customs?

Contact "Yellow" freight, they have the best prices, and will know what to do.

Post near a campus for students travelling to the sold site.
Pay say 50 dollars and gas. For a total of 100.00 you can
also get shipping insurance to have on them, high risk at
about 20.00 for just a canoe. Shipping professionals will be
at least 250.00. Personally make sure the canoe is loaded
right, and choose perhaps to sell the rack as part of the sale. Racks are around 150.00, or a canoe trailer used for 200.00.

To Miami,New York or San Diego makes a pretty large difference.
www.wtxglobal.com/ports/
That is one of about 5,000 that came up on search.
I would give it.donate it to some people that could have FUN playing on it.Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or some thing. Get a tax writeoff and make people near you happy. It is a win win situation. Sell it and go through all that legal junk, and taxes and the kids still have no canoe to play with.

I don't know if you have "UPS OVER NIGHT" I had a side by side atv shipped from Georgia weight 850 lbs 4 foot tall 5 foot wide and 9 foot long. UPS OVER NIGHT used to be known as OVER NIGHT EXPRESS. By the way the cost was very reasonable. It was $249.00 I live in Texas

Hire someone to strap it to their car and deliver it.
