Off of the African coast of Somalia. They have even gone after cruise ships and cargo ships. The other waters that are difficult as well are in Indonesia.

In the Indian Ocean and they're equipped with heavy firepower. I wouldn't cruise in the Indian Ocean for all the tea in China.

the Somalia and Indonesia answers are spot on..as far as the Caribbean goes......only down along the coasts of Venezuela and Columbia is there a problem...rest of the Caribbean is fine.
