I have a 2002 Taurus. At 109,000 miles it needs a new Starter Solenoid. On this car can the Solenoid be changed seperately? Or do I need to purchase a whole new unit? How hard is this to replace on a 2002 Ford Taurus. How accessable is it? Or should I just leave this to the professionals if it requires special tools? The starter is down there just behind the radiator at the very bottom.

The car still starts it's just that sometimes the starter solenoid doesn't engage about 1 try out of 20. This more than likely happens when it's hot outside than when its cool/cold.

Did this part last long enough or do you think it failed prematurely?

I have a 2003 HD Road King and want to add a satellite radio that can be run through helmet speakers without messing up the clean look of the fairing-less handle bars of the Road King. I don't care about CD's, Cassetts, normal radio, or even external speakers. I just want to enjoy Sirrus or XM through the helmet speakers for both rider and passenger and enable use of the microphone to communicate with one another.

I have a 1993 ford thunderbird that has problems heating up. I changed the thermostate and waterpump. Ive burped it to get the air out. What happens is when i first drive it cold it will heat up and then the temp gauge will jump and almost get out of the normal range and the heat inside the car will get cold. sometimes it will get warm for a minute and get cold again. Im lost.

My friend who lives in Illinois got a ticket in Wisconsin.

She thinks it will be ok for her not to pay for her ticket since it was issued in a different state than where her driver's license is issued.

She also said the worst penalty you could get for not paying for a speeding ticket is to get your driver's license suspended. Is this true? I thought you could get arrested for not paying for a ticket.

I am shopping for a new car and I am seriously considering a Honda Civic SI Sedan. I love the fact that it is a powerful compact car but I only have one problem is the price really that low? I was wondering what others have paid for this car and how available it actually is, I know the msrp is $21,260 but is this the price I should expect to pay?

Just recently and it has gotten worse when I go to start my car it makes a loud schreeching noise, not a clicking that you normall would get from a starter. It takes several times of turning it over and just the right touch to get it started. Sometimes it helps if I slowly hit the gas pedal as I'm starting it but I'm worried one day it wont start and the noise is so embrassing when I try to start my car! What is wrong?? Starter? fuel filter? I'm not exactly car savvy! Is it going to be expensive?? Please help!! I have called around for prices of having a new starter installed and everyone says 350 bucks! Is there a cheaper way? No one seems to have rebuilt ones in my town. Could I install it? Where can I get directions?

Some people get on my damn nerves. At the risk of death or serious injury to others and themselves, people think nothing of being distracted visually, acoustically, and mentally because of cell phone conversations while driving.

You think I'm alone on this one? Think again, next a statewide ban (California) goes into effect for people that talk on cell phones while driving. Violators will be fined heavily if caught by highway patrol. I hope it's a lucrative implement of prosecution for them.

My ex and I split up last year and I am overseas. I don't need a car while I am here so we agreed that he would buy my car from me for $1,200. He agreed to pay each month $200 from his GI Bill. He has not kept up with any payments, and now 7 months later he has only paid $800 towards the car.

He agreed to have insurance on the car, and I cancelled mine since I was not driving. He was supposed to get his own full coverage insurance and told me he did.

2 weeks ago I emailed him because he had not made a payment and was more than a month past the date he had promised to make a $300 payment on the car. At that time he let me know he wrecked the car by crashing into a tree.

He has no insurance, the registration in my name has expired, and he now refuses to make any more payments on the car unless I sign the title over to him.

What can I do? Can I file a stolen vehicle report since he was not paying in agreement? Or negligence or what?

Just was driving home from work, and the car sounded louder then usual. LIke there may be a leak in the exhaust. It is more noticiable when Accelerating, but does seem to be intermitant. I made sure all the spark plugs were in tight and they are. I can't seem to find the source of the noise. Any suggestions?

It seems as if the electrical wiring has gone crazy on my Cavalier. The horn, speedometer, and fuel gauge do not work anymore. The speedometer says I am going 90mph when I am stopped at a stop light!! I am desperately needing to get my horn fixed at the least because I have not been able to get my inspection renewed for the last 6 months. Has anyone else had this problem? How much was it to fix it?
