Hard to do, how about more than three?
Louis Chevrolet, Henry Ford, Ransom E. Olds, David D Buick, E. L.Cord. Walter P. Chrysler, Bill Knudsen, Harley Earl, and Ed Cole. There are many more.
I think a better question would be, what 3 things added to automobile sales more than any thing else.
I am sure that my answers will cause lots of conversation, but here they are:
Self Starter, by far Number One.
Shocks
electric lights.

Rudolf Diesel-if it wasn't for him, common-rail direct injection would have been science-fiction
Wilhelm Maybach-besides the carburettor, many other stuff of primary importance
Nicolaus Otto-for modifying Lenoir's engine into something that we use now and that we will be using many years from now on: the four-stroke gasoline engine.
I have to add Felix Wankel, a stunning person that invented a stunning engine. And Karl Benz, who added them up and made a car out of them.
Without these people, the automobile would have remained a carriage.

I will go with Henry Ford, Giovanni Battista Pininfarina, and Larry Shinoda.
Henry Ford, obviously the Ford Automobile.
Giovanni Battista Pininfarina, Pininfarina coachbuilding (a noted contributor to Ferrari.)
Larry Shinoda, The godfather of the 1963 split-window Corvette coupe.

Giovanni Pininfarina, Gruppo Bertone and Alex Issigonis. Probably the 3 most influential names in automotive styling and design - particularly Issigonis, who designed the first transverse-engine front wheel drive (the original Austin Mini), which almost all small cars (and many large ones) now copy.
