my husband parked his truck in his father's driveway and it must of slipped out of gear and rolled back down a steep hill and knocked down trees which were neighbors and he totaled his truck with no collision coverage. Will his father's homeowners policy cover his truck damage and neighbors damage??

I just purchased a 1994 Ford Mustang GT for very cheap. The body is in real good shape. It currently has a Crazy Horse 302 engine(this engine does have some leaks and problems that will need to be fixed) in it but the previous owner put a GM trans in the car so it shifts bad(a place called TransAdapt will make a GM trans fit a Ford engine). I will be replacing the trans no matter what but the concern is as follows: I have a 460 sitting around the garage that I can spend a couple grand on rebuilding and i will need to reinforce the body and do extra things to ensure it is ok, should I spend the money to rebuild the 460 or should I stick with the 302 it currently has and buld the hell out of that? Anyone's opinion is greatly appreciated. FYI my dad is a mechanic of 23 years so I do have someone with experience helping me out with this.

what is the point on buying these cars? auto manufacturers say you will save so much money, but you are actually spending abotu 15 to 20 percent more on the vehicle, plus maintenance costs are way higher than a standard car. Why do auto manufacturers market them as good for the environment instead? the reason is obvious, cause no one cares!!

I have a 1999 Vovo S80 with 250,000 Km.Brought it in for Transmission Filter & Oil change.Techs showed me Oil pan with large pieces of clutch material in it.
Car was road tested everything still seems to be working fine.
Suggested tranny rebuild for approx. $1000.
How common is it to find such material in pan?

Put new bars on my bike, now the brake cable's too long. Routing didn't seem to clean it up enough, so I'm looking for a cable that's 4" shorter than stock. Trouble is, I can't seem to find anyplace where you can get a cable by saying "a 47 inch Yamaha brake cable". They always go by "fits model number..." People are replacing risers/bars all the time, so someone's gotta know!?
